  1. Loved this Marti! My foot pedal slides under the back of my sewing desk and jams sometimes so I keep sewing whether I want to or not.

    1. Oooh, that's bad. I just chase mine with my foot until I find I'm barely sitting in the chair.

  2. Have you tried using a mouse pad or sandpaper dots on the bottom of your foot pedal to keep it from "walking"? I've also had good luck with the gripper sold for keeping throw rugs from moving.

    1. I knew I was keeping that drawer gripper stuff for something!

Actually, this is a new sewing machine and the foot pedal is made of lightweight plastic. My last machine had a heavier foot pedal and I sewed on a desk against the wall so I didn't have to chase it with my foot the way I am this one.

  4. Fun self portrait! The carpet seems to keep mine where it needs to be.

  5. My legs are short so I'd probably end up doing everything on the floor.

    Nice self-portrait btw.

  7. Love the drawing!

I also dearly love my on/off button on the machine body. I haven't used the foot pedal in so many years I can't count - unless I am using the older model that doesn't have the button. All machines should have that thing!
