Stash Report, Week 1

It's been over a year since I joined the stash report at Patchwork Times.  I didn't think I was getting anything out of posting a report there, but I've noticed in the last year, and last six months especially, that I've gotten really sloppy with my stash.  So maybe posting there really did help me even if no one ever looked at my post.

I hadn't thought of posting a stash report until the last couple of days, and had to look back to see when I last bought fabric.  December 31, 2014.  I almost had to report fabric in on the very first report.  Whew!  That was close.

I measured and inventoried most of my fabric last year.  Listed on the report are all the fabrics which are folded on my shelves.  My goal this year is to use an average of five yards per month, so my stash is reduced by 60 yards by the end of the year.  But since I'm starting with a stash total of 265.09, what I'd really like to see by the end of December is a total under 260.

So here  we go, a fresh start for 2015.

Since our LQS has their annual fabric sale on NYD every year, unless January 1 falls on a Sunday, I've *always* got intake to report on the first stash report of the year! LOL! Good job escaping that fate! I like your new blog -- do you like working with wordpress? Have a terrific week! :)

Thankfully, I had more fabric used hat purchased in 2014, so I hope I can continue with that trend.

Now, to work on the yarn stash. ;o)

I would have trouble staying away from a fabric sale, January 1st or any other time. I guess that helps the people who resolved to make a quilt this year though.

I am still a bit mixed on wordpress. On some things it is easier than blogspot, but on other things it doesn't seem to be. But maybe I just haven't found out how to do some things yet. I was having problems with blogspot though so I'm not impartial. I might have been able to start over with another blogspot blog, but then they would be linked, so this seemed the best option. Marti

That's my attitude too. It's like a do-over. Marti

I was about to say it was lucky that I don't have a yarn stash, but then remembered that I do! But I only make hats with the ring kit so not much yarn there. Marti

Hopefully the report will motivate you to reach whatever goals you've set.

I hope so. As I've been cleaning and organizing my sewing stuff, I've been fine tuning my goals as well. As much as I'd like to join a lot of the blogs doing the mini's or the blues, or the mysteries, my main goal right now is to finish UFOs.
