Tramp and the Turtle

Tramp was our first dog and probably the best dog we've ever had. He didn't know what to think about this turtle that wandered out of the yard.

    1. Thanks Sandee. Yes, Tramp was special. He was part Border Collie and watched us all the time and quick to learn tricks. We got him when he was four or five weeks old when his mother decided not to feed them anymore.

  2. Good morning Marti! I love this photo and your story of Tramp and the turtle. Sweetness! My hubby had a black lab Spats, a gifts from his grandfather. He was and always will be the most special canine friend he had. He and Mr. Kitty have a love/hate relationship but he gets along beautifully with our son Nick's cat, Rose, the mature kitty who minds her own business most days! Love seeing this sweet photo share today. Have an Aw...Mondays kind of day and thank you for posting here. HUGS ANne

  3. Dogs are hilarious when a new creature enters their space. Our cocker pup had a hard time figuring out what to do about a toad that was on the patio. The results were very entertaining. Have a blessed week.

  4. If he'd been bitten by a turtle, previously, it would explain the vigilant look.

    1. I don't think he was ever bitten, and I was watching closely. He would jump around and then pounce down like this and look at it. Then, when it moved, he jumped up and danced around a little more. This was long before cell phones or small video cameras but it would have made a great video.

  8. Ya know I have been blessed to have pets all my life and there has been something special about all of them, but there is always that one who keep a place in your heart no matter how long they have been gone. But I would be hard pressed to tell you which one. 8-)
