People can say what they want about dandelions-but I love them! They're good for you and they always look happy :-) Bravo! on your horticultural skills!
Don't mean to sound negative, but nothing kills dandelions!! The only thing we have blooming is the equally pervasive and hard to kill oxalysis (spelling on this??). I used to love them as a kid, but now not so much!
At least oxalis is considered a real flower. I also have henbit flowering now, but it is not only annoyingly pervasive, but its flowers aren't photogenic.
Strangely enough they seem to multiply.....UNLESS, you specifically want them to grow so you can pull them up for the chooks!! They are great for chooks & the hens just live them........and then you find yourself wishing they would grow.............typical!!!
I'll try to remember that if we can have chickens at our next house. The only beneficial thing I've noticed about dandelions is that aphids prefer them over other plants. If they weren't so prickly, I'd grow them in the garden next to my okra.
Your comments make my day and I look forward to visiting your blog too! If you are a no-reply blogger and don't have your blog on your profile, could you write it in your comment so I can visit you? Thanks! Due to a recent spamming problem, comments with links and unidentified anonymous comments will be deleted.

ReplyDeleteThanks, but I was really just making a joke of it. lol
DeleteVery impressive! I rather like dandelions, but no one else in the neighborhood does.
ReplyDeleteI don't like them either, but I can't seem to be rid of them. I know they have many uses, but I'd just as soon they grow somewhere else.
DeleteOh my, they are absolutely beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHmmm, we seem to share the same skills. . .
ReplyDeleteOr lack of? lol
