New to us anyway.
After our last trip, we began seriously talking about getting a camper. Our only requirements were that Hubby can stand upright (he's 6'4"), a full bath, a full queen bed, and enough of a kitchen to make sandwiches and heat frozen dinners, and all in the smallest and lightest possible trailer.
A month later, we found this one. It's a 2009 Fun Finder, twenty-one feet long. It meets all the basic requirements, and even has a walk around bed which will be easier to make than one crammed into a corner.
NICE!!! We have an RV but have been thinking about selling and getting a camper. That way, we can unhook and go exploring!!! This one is really nice. And I love the walk around bed. I have to climb over the husband to get out of bed in ours and that is difficult!!! Have fun in it!!!
ReplyDeleteThat's exactly why we bought a trailer instead of a motorhome. I know there are ways in a motorhome too, motorcycles, scooters, bikes, etc. But this will fit us just right I think. The only big difference is not having a generator in it. We can take one in the back of the pickup, but then it will have to go with us when we go anywhere. So we will either always go where there is a hookup in places where a/c is necessary, or go somewhere cooler. Hubby wants to put a solar system on it so we can boondock.
DeleteWhat a neat camper! It's perfect for two to camp simply. Have fun with it.

Thank you! Yes, it is just enough for us. The previous owner had four kids though I can't imagine where they all slept.
DeleteVery nice. Enjoy taking it on your adventures.
ReplyDeletewow, that is great. It looks well kept too. I'm seriously jealous. But still so glad for you two.

Thanks! I think we will enjoy it.

Thank you Tonia. In ways, the trailer is pristine, but in other ways, it needs some repair or replacement. We've never really taken vacations so we're pretty pumped about getting out and seeing new places.
DeleteSure looks like fun! Where will you travel to, will it be mostly local or across the country?
ReplyDeleteIn the beginning, it will be mostly local. Once we are more confident of our trailering skills and the reliability of the trailer, we hope to range far and wide. We can't wait to spend a few summer weeks where the temperatures don't get out of the 80's.
DeleteThat's REALLY nice! I like the fact that you've got space on both sides of the bed (rare in my experience of caravans). I look forward to seeing photos of all your travels. Jx
ReplyDeleteI like that part too. The beds in the corner are soooo much harder to make. This one isn't as easy as I thought it would be because there is a platform type thing under the front half of it. I hope we get to go somewhere soon. There is a little more to do to it than we first thought. But we are learning, thanks mainly to the internet.
DeleteCongratulations!! It ls a floor plan like the one we had. It's a great floor plan, and I know you will enjoy it a lot!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Any tips for organizing or making any changes? I already decided the storage under the booth is not convenient even when no one is sitting there.
Deletewow-it looks great!!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you got exactly what you were looking for. So have you got plans to use it in the near future?
ReplyDeleteWe still need to take it out on a shake-down run, but then we'd like to take it to Missouri in October.
