I have wondered that many times. I know the meterologists say that temperatures are higher now than they used to be and I think the humidity is probably higher too, so that would make a difference. But still, the women wore long sleeve dresses and then those petticoats in hot weather!

It's hot. Today's high here is 105°. Too hot for me. I'm staying indoors.
