WOW, look at those rows and rows of corn! It's beautiful! I remember hiding in corn fields when I was little. It seemed like the purrrfect place to not be found. :) Thanks for joining my WW linky party! ;)
I took this photo in early June. We haven't had a drop of rain in a month and now this same corn is withering away. I feel for these farmers. I don't think they made any corn.
I hadn't even thought of sweet corn, now you are making me taste it! Farmers here grow feed corn, but this year I think they are just growing corn stalks.
When I was young living in the Midwest I loved to walk down the cornrows. I found many an arrowhead turned up by the plow. I do miss those days sometimes and the corn here brings them back. Thanks for sharing.
They're not that green now for sure. I took these pictures the same day as the truck pull around the first of June. We haven't had a good rain since May.
Love the light shining through the stalks … folks in Montana don't grow corn … lack of water, I think.
Thanks for your recent visits to my blog. Yes, we have chipmunks in addition to the ground squirrels and regular squirrels. Just abounding with little critters! And you asked about the big key on the church visitor register. That was the key to open the front door of the church!!! Imagine having to carry that baby around with you!

DeleteOur corn is tassling as well. But, we don't have nearly this much! I can almost taste the ears dripping in butter already. :-)

DeleteWhen we head to the boat in the spring/summer and early fall we see acres of corn. The kind of corn that's grown to feed cattle.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. ♥
Yep, that's what this is.
DeleteNice photos and yes it is a shame some rain is definitely needed :-(
ReplyDeleteThanks for sailing by
Have a corntastic week :-)

We find a lot of fossils, but have never found an arrowhead. How cool that must be!
DeleteI wish our corn was that tall. It is only a few inches right now.
ReplyDeleteYou must be farther north. We get an early start with our short winters. I hope you get enough rain for yours, or that they irrigate there.
DeleteWonderful perspective used in your lovely photos!
ReplyDeleteHappy Week to you,

Thanks, the endless rows of corn fascinate me. I wish I had gone into the rows but since it wasn't my corn, I thought I'd better not.
DeleteVery nice photos, they would make nice, complicated puzzles to put together.
ReplyDeleteYes they would!
DeleteVery green! It probably won't be that far long unless we get some nice rain showers. Great shots.

We don't get much water after May. I think that's why only field corn is grown around here.
