The deer finished off my last lily Saturday night. I thought I would have to put a cage over my lily tank, but then I found this youtube video (below) and I think it may be my answer. I've certainly got enough cat food cans!
If you have a better solution that isn't too conspicuous and doesn't restrict me from walking up to the tank, I'd love to know it.

Wow, what a clever idea. Way cool.

I know, I wish I had thought of it. So much easier than building a cage to go over the tank.
DeleteJust might work - and much easier than building a cage!
ReplyDeleteI agree, easier to make and easier to take down when needed.
DeleteWe hope it works ! Purrs
ReplyDeleteI hope it works too. I may not know if my lilies survived until next spring though. There may not be enough warm weather for them to put on any new pads.
DeleteI will plan to try and test this next spring when we get new growth. Thanks for the tip!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to wait until next spring too. Let me know how it works for you too.
DeleteI like it! My brother, who loves to build things, put a motion detector attached to a high powered sprinkler. It would shoot water when tripped. I like this guy's ideas because it is something I could do.

Oh! You reminded me - I have one of those called a Scare Crow. I got it for Christmas years ago and never took it out of the box. I need to try that too.
DeleteMy brother is an evil genius and did all of the work for the laughs. His videos were hilarious.
