Area Meteorologists Rejoice as Citizens Suffer
As of today, we have broken the 1980 record for total number of days above 100 degrees. (It is now 70 days if you want to add that to your bucket list.) Area meteorologists have taken off the sackcloth and ashes and can finally quit lamenting the accursed cool front that robbed them us of the record in August. Oh happy day. Now we are the envy of the state, nay, the nation.

I know you don't want to hear it...currently it is 55 here. I don't envy you but you can get yours back when we have feet and feet of snow and you don't.
ReplyDeleteOh good Lord, I couldn't take that much heat for that long. What we had all summer was enough for me, thank you. We are fixing to have nice weather and before we know it, ole man winter will be here with all the splendor of that white stuff that never seems to go away either. Just can't win.
ReplyDeleteThey love breaking records and serious storms don't they!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you're in DFW too!! I'm ashamed to admit - I'm happy we beat the record. Not because I want it to be hot, but because at least we have something to "show" for it. Besides a ridiculous energy bill, that is. Watch, we'll probably follow up this summer with the coldest winter ever...
ReplyDelete(it's raining outside right now and I can't stop smiling - we so need it!!)
